About Utterly Uncluttered

Utterly Uncluttered is a growing Professional Organizing company in Michigan's Metro Detroit area. We provide sustainable solutions that save time and improve quality of life by transforming spaces that are cluttered and disorganized into spaces that are uniquely functional and organized.  Utterly Uncluttered is looking to add Professional Organizers to our growing team! 

Career Opportunities with Utterly Uncluttered. 

Utterly Uncluttered is currently seeking part time (with opportunity for full time) organizers to manage and/or co-manage home organizing projects, as well as a Product Coordinator & Lead Shopper. 
ORGANIZER
Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with clients and Utterly Uncluttered staff to ensure the client's goals and needs are understood and well executed. 
  • Communicate relevant project details to Utterly Uncluttered staff so project expectations are clear.
  • Work to develop solutions that are sustainable based on each client's unique lifestyle.
  • ​Guide clients through their current items to determine what they need and what items can be donated/removed.
  • Maintain professional communication throughout the project with the client.
  • ​Understand when change may need to be made and adjust as needed.
  • Assist with donation coordination/pick-ups/drop-offs, shopping and delivery/return of supplies.​
  • Arrive at each job prepared with necessary materials and an understanding of what work needs to be done.
  • Communicate with clients in a timely manner from the point of first contact through the follow-up stage, if completing the job successfully requires you to do so.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and treat clients with respect.
  • Assist with social media and marketing duties, as needed.​​
​Requirements:
  • College degree preferred.
  • Must be a critical thinker with high attention to detail.
  • Highly motivated self-starter who is comfortable taking on new projects.
  • Must have excellent decluttering and organizing skills and use creativity to determine the ideal solution based on the client’s goals. 
  • Solution-oriented with the ability to strategize quickly.
  • Comfortable working in a startup environment and comfortable making changes as the business grows. 
  • Must be comfortable working independently as well as with a team.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Must deliver a WOW customer experience. 
  • Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel around SE Michigan as needed.
  • Must have a reliable laptop or computer and smartphone with internet access.
PRODUCT COORDINATOR & LEAD SHOPPER
Responsibilities:
Warehouse & Inventory Management
  • Manage warehouse inventory and organization of all products in accordance with Utterly Uncluttered standards.
  • Maintain the warehouse equipment, materials, and inventory with integrity and in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
  • Coordinate day to day warehouse operations including but not limited to accepting and inspecting shipments, and coordinating/tracking returns back to retailers.
  • Organize all products by job and date.
  • Coordinate unloading of shipments safely and move product as needed.
  • Break down boxes and reuse or properly dispose of packaging materials, as needed.
  • Organize and coordinate sale of excess materials, as directed.
Oversee all Client Shopping and Returns
  • Create shopping lists, track shipments and pick up products.
  • Manage and track product deliveries and pickups, ensuring all products arrive in time for their respective jobs; resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Return products for clients and track all returns, ensuring refunds are received for all returns.
  • Organize receipts as shopping is completed.
  • Transport materials to and from job sites as needed by the organizing team.
Work closely with Operations Manager and assist in the development and refinement of the warehouse/inventory/shopping processes and systems.
​Requirements:
  • College degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience of operations, logistics or related field.
  • Experience managing inventory a plus.
  • Must be a critical thinker with high attention to detail.
  • Highly motivated self-starter who is comfortable taking on new projects.
  • Must have excellent decluttering and organizing skills.
  • Solution-oriented with the ability to strategize quickly.
  • Comfortable working in a startup environment and comfortable making changes as the business grows. 
  • Must be comfortable working independently as well as with a team.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, drive a vehicle with adequate space to transport organizing products, and be willing to travel around SE Michigan as needed.  Bicycle and public transportation are not sufficient.
  • Must have a reliable laptop or computer and smartphone with internet access.
